The "2025 Summer Sports Carnival," organized by the Sports Bureau, will be held for two consecutive days on September 6th and 7th this year at the Olympic Sports Centre – Hockey Field! This year's event introduces a family category, offering both passionate competition and family interaction.


The event will feature recreational sports competitions. Participating teams will compete in mixed-gender teams of 5, completing designated game challenges on the field to achieve the fastest time and vie for rankings. The family category focuses on relaxed interaction with no official results. Each team consists of 1 child and 2 to 4 parents, perfect for family fun. All three categories are now open for registration. You can sign up by selecting your category on Go Out Mall  starting today!

Eligibility:

Open Category: Macau residents born between 1975 and 2010 are welcome to form teams and register.

Government Departments Category: Employees working in government departments and born in 1975 or later are eligible to form teams and register. (Teams must consist of personnel from the same organization. Violation of regulations will result in disqualification.)

Family Category: Children must be Macau residents born between 2011–2018. Parents must be Macau residents born between 1975–2010. Each team must consist of 1 child and at least 2 accompanying adults.

Event Venue: Olympic Sports Centre – Hockey Field

Event Dates: September 6-7, 2025 (Saturday & Sunday)

  • Family Category: September 6 (Sat) 14:00–17:00
  • Open Category / Government Department Staff Category: September 7 (Sun) 14:00–17:00 (Practice sessions open in the morning)



Open Category ▼

Competition Format

  • The competition will consist of preliminary rounds (two heats), semi-finals, and finals.
  • A maximum of 4 teams will compete in each heat. Participants must complete designated tasks on the track, with results calculated by timing.
  • The top 50% of teams with the fastest combined times from the two preliminary heats will advance to the semi-finals. The fastest 4 teams from the semi-finals will proceed to the finals to determine the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners. Teams ranked 5th to 10th will receive an Excellence Award.

Participation Requirements

  • Each team must consist of 5 main members, with at least 1 female participant.
  • A maximum of 2 reserve members can be registered.

Eligibility

  • Macau residents born between 1975 and 2010 are eligible to form teams and participate freely.

 

Government Department Staff Category ▼

Competition Format

  • The competition will follow the same format as the Open Category, with preliminary rounds, semi-finals, and finals.
  • Results will be calculated based on the combined times from the two preliminary heats. Advancement and award structures will be consistent with the Open Category.

Participation Requirements

  • Each team must consist of 5 main members, with at least 1 female participant.
  • A maximum of 2 reserve members can be registered.

Eligibility

  • Employees working in government departments, born in 1975 or later.
  • Participating teams must be composed solely of staff members from the same organization.

 

Family Category ▼

Competition Format

  • There will be no competition results; the focus is on a relaxed and interactive experience. Participants simply need to complete the game activities.
  • Suitable for families to participate together and experience the event atmosphere.

Participation Requirements

  • Each team must consist of 1 child and at least 2 accompanying adults, with a maximum of 5 people per team.

Eligibility

  • Children: Macau residents born between 2011–2018.
  • Accompanying Adults: Macau residents born between 1975–2010.

If any competition category has fewer than 8 registered teams, the organizer reserves the right to cancel that category's event.

Important Notes

  • Activities are conducted in teams, and only the results of the entire team completing the event will be counted. If a team member is injured and unable to complete the event, that round will have no score; substitute personnel may replace them in the next round (if any).
  • Participating teams may choose their own team names and uniforms, but they must not contain any content related to social commentary or use indecent language.
  • Participants must wear flat-soled athletic shoes for the competition (cleats or other pointed/hard shoes are strictly prohibited).
  • To ensure safety, participants must be in good health to join this activity. If you have high blood pressure, heart disease, back or neck discomfort, are prone to dizziness, are pregnant, or have any other health conditions that require avoiding stimulation, please do not participate.
  • If the organizers discover any false declaration of identity or violation of the above regulations, participants may be disqualified.

Cancellation Policy

  • No modifications, cancellations, or refunds are accepted for this activity.
  • In case of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather), the merchant may cancel this activity. You may choose to reschedule or request a full refund.
